As a tax‑approved (spendenbegünstigte) organization under § 4a EStG, the Salzburg Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) is authorized to issue donation receipts valid for Austrian tax deduction. Donors who are private individuals may claim their donation as a “Sonderausgabe” (special expense), and corporate donors may deduct it as a business expense (Betriebsausgabe).
